​​Miss Shannon, our two’s teacher, is a student at CCBC finishing her Associate’s degree in  Early Childhood Education. She began her love for children at a young age when she started babysitting for family and friends. Miss Shannon has years of experience along with a 90 hour certificate in Early Childhood Curriculum & Development and a 45 hour certificate in Infant and Toddler Child Care.  She believes it is important for children to learn in a loving and positive atmosphere.

Ms. Kaira, our 3's teacher, is a mother of two children ages 16 and 11. She began her teaching career in Baltimore City Public Schools as a third grade teacher and later transferred and taught third grade in Baltimore County Public Schools. She began her preschool teaching career at St. John's Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten where she taught for four years. Ms. Kaira has her degree in Elementary Education as well as her 99 hour certification in Early Childhood. She believes that simply being in a loving and nurturing environment is the most beneficial way for children to reach their fullest potential.

Ms. Leslie, our Pre-K teacher, is a mother of two and half year old twins, who also attend Providence Childcare and Learning Center. She began her teaching career six years ago at St. John's Lutheran School, as an Assistant in the two's class. When she came to Providence four years ago, she started teaching in the three's classroom and taught for three years before moving to the Pre-K class. Ms. Leslie has her 99 hour certification in Early Childhood and has spent 15+ years in childcare. Her love for children was a perfect fit here at Providence. She believes that children learn through example and that a happy and kind classroom is a perfect environment for young minds to grow.

Ms. Carol, our school-age teacher, is a mother of 3 grown children, ages 30, 28 and 25. She began her teaching career by working as an Assistant in all-day Kindergarten.  After 2 years in the Kindergarten classroom she began teaching Pre-K at Immaculate Heart of Mary School and has LOVED it for the last 11 years. Ms. Carol taught Pre-K here at Providence for seven years before taking on her new role with the school age children. She believes that learning should be fun, hands-on, and interactive.  She also believes that while academics are important being a good citizen, problem solving and speaking to others in an appropriate manner are lessons that are invaluable!
