Miss Shannon, our young two’s teacher, is a student at CCBC finishing her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She began her love for children at a young age when she started babysitting for family and friends. Miss Shannon has years of experience along with a 90 hour certificate in Early Childhood Curriculum & Development and a 45 hour certificate in Infant and Toddler Child Care. She believes it is important for children to learn in a loving and positive atmosphere.
Ms. Ashley, our two's teacher, is the mother of three daughters ages 9, 8 and 5. Ms. Ashley has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Towson University and her 90 hour certification in Early Childhood. Being the oldest grandchild of a very large tight knit family, Ms. Ashley always knew she wanted to work with young children. She believes that it is so important for children at this age to learn to socialize and respect their peers and she strives to provide a classroom environment that will do so.
Ms. Leslie is our three's teacher. She began her teaching career three years ago at St. John's Lutheran School, as an Assistant in the two's class. Ms. Leslie has her 99 hour certification in Early Childhood and has spent 11+ years in childcare. her love for children was a perfect fit here at Providence. She believes that children learn through example and that a happy and kind classroom is a perfect environment for young minds to grow.
Ms. Carol, our Pre-K teacher, is a mother of 3 grown children, ages 23, 21 and 18. She began her teaching career by working as an Assistant in all-day Kindergarten. After 2 years in the Kindergarten classroom she began teaching Pre-K at Immaculate Heart of Mary School and has LOVED it for the last 11 years. Ms. Carol believes that learning should be fun, hands-on, and interactive. She also believes that while academics are important being a good citizen, problem solving and speaking to others in an appropriate manner are lessons that are invaluable!
